New Song Feature Let It Be A Hallelujah Lauren Daigle

Lauren Daigle gifted a sweet surprise to fans in the form of an archived, never-before-released track, “Let It Be A Hallelujah.” Shortly after releasing her debut, “How Can It Be,” Daigle initially wrote the moving, string-laden ballad in Los Angeles with songwriter Jonas Myrin and beloved country songwriter/producer Busbee, who helped craft hits for artists like Lady A and Carly Pearce before tragically passing away from a brain tumor in 2019 at only 43.

Never making the cut for an album, the song has lived in Daigle’s Dropbox for the past eight years. In celebration of the 10-year anniversary of “How Can It Be,” which officially bowed on April 14, 2015, Daigle dusted off the shelved original and returned to the studio with producer Austin Davis to re-record it.

“I truly believe God had an incredible design filled with intention behind why this song wasn’t brought forth into the world in the season in which we wrote it. This song was savored and salvaged for a time when my life needed to intersect with it,” Daigle says of “Let It Be A Hallelujah,” which premiered as a K-LOVE First. “It compels me to believe that from any place, high or low, triumphant or troublesome, praise can live on our lips and in our spirit. I think Paul taught us the extravagant resilience of being content in all things. This song is the reminder of this truth.”

She’s referring, of course, to the Scripture passage found in Philippians 4:11-13: “Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”

The Louisiana native performed the powerful declaration in front of a sold-out audience at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, during the first night of this year’s “K-LOVE Live at Red Rocks” doubleheader in August.

The fashion icon and nine-time K-LOVE Fan Award winner began the year singing “America The Beautiful” with Trombone Shorty at the 2025 Super Bowl. Following her first-ever shows in South Africa, Daigle brought her undeniable vocal prowess to national television, appearing on “A Capitol Fourth” on Independence Day. She’s headlining select dates across the U.S. through mid-September. Additionally, she’s scheduled to perform at the 56th Annual GMA Dove Awards in October, where she’ll also vie for Artist of the Year.
