Staying Grounded in Seasons of Change

Life Seasons

Life is full of so many twists and turns. Maybe you just graduated from high school or college. Maybe you’re starting a new career path or preparing for a big move. Perhaps you just got engaged to be married, or recently found out you’re expecting your first child. Maybe you’ve finally decided to retire after years of faithful service.

All these changes can be so exciting, but they also come with a multitude of uncertainties. The good news is, you’re not alone! Whatever we face in life—whether it's expected or unexpected, exciting or full of sorrow—we have a Helper who knows exactly what the future holds.

Staying connected to God and His Word helps us stay grounded in our seasons of change.

Here are some biblical truths to hold tight to when you find yourself in transition:

When you are unsure what the next step looks like, remember what Jeremiah 29:11 says: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope’” (NLT).

Also, it’s important to remember that God is with us! We never walk through seasons of change alone. “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand” (Isaiah 41:10 NLT).

Our Father God loves us. He cares about our lives and every season we face. Psalm 37:23 says, “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives” (NLT). Every detail! Wow. What a comforting thought.

There is such beauty and peace to be found when we walk with Christ through it all. As you trust Him through every season, remember that He will lead and guide you through every step and decision.

When you feel yourself getting overwhelmed with the weight of change, press into the hope that He gives us!

Let’s ask the Lord to help us trust Him more through every season.

Dear Jesus, I am so thankful that you are a God who sees me in every step of my life.  Thank You for Your word that reminds me that You never leave me to just figure things out on my own. Would you give me understanding and clarity to recognize Your voice above all the noise and changes that surround me? I surrender my life to You. I surrender my will to You. I will trust You and listen for Your guidance in my life. I put my hope in You, knowing Your Word promises that You will not leave me alone. Thank you for being my helper and strength. I trust You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
