Located just outside Nashville, Tennessee, The Wonders Center & Science Museum provides a unique experience from the moment visitors walk through the door to see a 55-foot-long Camarasaurus in the Rotunda. At over 100,000 square feet, the Museum features unique hands-on activities and exhibits across every field of science and history and is the largest museum in Tennessee and the largest in the world that upholds biblical values.
“Our purpose is to showcase amazing design in anatomy, astronomy, physics, mathematics, biology, and more,” said David Rives, Director of The Wonders Center & Science Museum. “By studying these things closely, visitors will see how this design reveals God’s fingerprints throughout the universe. There really is evidence for the God of the Bible, and a closer look at the natural world around us only brings us closer to this truth, and ultimately the Gospel message.”
From replicas of life-size dinosaurs, space-themed exhibits and a rare historical collection of artifacts, including ancient Biblical scrolls, to up close and personal encounters with wild animals and creatures, an opportunity to dig in the Dino sand pit and learn physics through car races, The Wonders Center & Science Museum provides something for all ages.
The Museum also features daily shows of a Tesla Coil dancing to music while distributing 1 million volts of artificial lightning and one of the top 10 planetariums in the world. Wrapped in an 85-foot-tall spherical dome, the 140-seat Heavens Declare Planetarium allows visitors to experience the cosmos in real-time through shows with ground-breaking visual effects.
The on-site Wonders Theater and Performance Hall regularly features award-winning speakers and musical artists.
“Our goal with The Wonders Center & Science Museum is to offer a family-friendly place to explore the wonders of creation and find the answers to questions that deep-down we’ve all been asking,” said Rives.
Located at 855 TN-46 in Dickson, Tennessee, the Museum offers free parking for visitors to enjoy all exhibits, the Java Man Café and a gift shop containing over 2,000 books, toys and educational resources.
The Wonders Center & Science Museum is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. CT. Planetarium Shows and Tesla Coil Shows typically run every morning and afternoon. For ticket and event information, visit wonderscenter.org.
