Securing the third K-LOVE Fan Award of his career, Matthew West took home the trophy for Book Impact at the 12th annual fan-voted awards ceremony. West won for “My Story, Your Glory,” a thoughtfully written, 30-day devotional that encourages fans to discover their place in God’s story.
K-LOVE Fan Award winner Rachael Lampa and hit songwriter David Leonard presented the accolade to West, who was quick to thank his mom. According to West, she was the first person to tell him she believed God was going to use him to write books, not just songs.
Named after his acclaimed double album, “My Story, Your Glory” shines a light on universal areas of the human experience — identity, shame, forgiveness, suffering, and more. A combination of personal anecdotes, stories of people he’s met, and lessons he’s gleaned from Scripture, the fresh devotional takes readers through their own narratives to affirm there really is no aspect of our lives where God is not uniquely invested. West’s natural humor and conversational tone make him feel like a relatable friend simply trying to figure out his purpose, his faith, his life — and the role he assumes in all of it — just like the rest of us.
Earlier in the telecast, the perpetual hitmaker performed his current single, “Unashamed.” Backed by a sprawling string section, West delivered a flawless vocal as headlines proclaiming courageous acts of faith scrolled on the accompanying screens.
In addition to performing, West — who was also nominated for Male Artist of the Year — returned as the co-host of the 2025 K-LOVE Fan Awards, alongside Jeremy Camp, Bart Millard (MercyMe) and Mac Powell.
“Amazing to see all the people who came from around the country to be part of the K-LOVE Fan Awards this weekend,” West shared across his social platforms following the multi-day event. “You guys are the best!”
