Jeanice Lee talks to the President & CEO of Coastal Roots Farm, Javier Guerrero. They are a certified organic farm that grows in a regenerative manner which means they care for the soil without any pesticides or harmful fertilizers. They use sustainable methods such as cover crop and no till helping build nutrient soil, which then helps grow nutritious produce, in turn helps those who are food insecure obtain fresh food. They have a pay-what-you-can Farm Stand on Sundays 10am - 3pm and Thursdays noon - 3pm. Guerrero says they also donate food to various partner orgs within the community. They have community and school educational programs and events throughout the year. Volunteers welcome. (CoastalRootsFarm.org)
