Jeanice Lee talks to the Program Manager of Young Adult Housing at YouthCare, Kody Allen. Known to be one of the first youth non-profits on the west coast, YouthCare has been serving the community for 50+ years. There is an estimated 1,800 homeless youth on the streets of Seattle on any given night. They offer services statewide for young people ranging from education, employment training, shelter, and housing and they go into the street via their street outreach to offer services. Allen says they have an engagement center, an adolescent shelter, an independent studio apartment living program, and a transitional living program. (YouthCare.org)
