We Are Messengers returns with hard-hitting single “God Be The Glory.” The driving anthem echoes the message of Romans 8:28 and previews the group’s next studio project, “Where The Joy Is,” which arrives everywhere Apr. 5, 2024.
“This is a song that reminds us that God is turning all of our mourning into laughter, all of our sorrow into joy, and He’s turning our feet toward dancing,” shares We Are Messengers frontman Darren Mulligan. “So whatever situation you find yourself in today — whether that be in great happiness or great sorrow — remember this, that God is working all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purposes, for His glory and our good.”
Mulligan penned the celebratory track with We The Kingdom’s Andrew Bergthold and songwriters Taylor Drévan Hill and Ran Jackson. What starts as an intimate piano-led ballad evolves into an upbeat arena-ready offering that transitions into a Gospel-tinged moment of worship complete with a church choir.
The beautiful chorus of exchange challenges us to trade our ashes for beauty, weakness for strength and pain for healing when we place our broken pieces in the hands of Jesus. The exuberant selection gives all credit to our Heavenly Father for supernatural transformation only He can orchestrate.
The K-LOVE Fan Award-winning collective has been sharing “God Be The Glory” on their world tour. While We Are Messengers is traversing the U.S. this spring, the band recently returned from select shows in Australia and New Zealand with additional international dates expected to be announced, extending their “Where The Joy Is Tour” deep into 2024.
The current nationwide domestic leg includes direct support from newcomers Ben Fuller and Jonathan Traylor. Since its initial launch last fall, the headlining trek — named after their impending release — has quickly become the biggest tour of We Are Messengers’ career to date.
