Ahead of the 11th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards, Brandon Lake led this year’s artist nominations with an impressive four nods. Not surprisingly, he ended the night a winner after fans named him Male Artist of the Year for the second year in a row. Additionally, Lake took home top honors for Worship Song of the Year for “Praise You Anywhere.”
Lake’s pair of wins trail on the heels of his third studio effort, “Coat of Many Colors,” which spawned award-winning lead single “Praise You Anywhere,” his current radio offering, “Miracle Child,” and rowdy fan favorite, “Count ‘Em,” which he performed live on the Fan Awards stage.
Lake honored his parents during his acceptance speech for Male Artist of the Year, bringing his mom and oldest son, Blaise, up to the podium with him. As an aside to his gratitude, he briefly shared the story that inspired “Miracle Child,” telling audience members filling Nashville’s sold-out Grand Ole Opry House that his parents experienced six miscarriages but never gave up hope that they would one day have biological kids. Lake was their first of three children. He thanked his mom and dad for their faith, love and support in addition to expressing his appreciation for his wife, Brittany, and his three boys.
The South Carolina native just released additional dates for his wildly popular “Tear Off The Roof Tour,” which resumes this fall. Prior to the highly anticipated extension of his headlining trek, he’ll reprise his “Summer Worship Nights” outing with Phil Wickham this August.
The now five-time K-LOVE Fan Award winner co-hosted the 2024 ceremony with podcaster, author and speaker Sadie Robertson Huff. Following its television premiere on May 31, 2024, the star-studded event is slated for an encore airing on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) June 7, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET. The entire show is also now available to watch on-demand via the TBN app.
